Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
