The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform for the first time. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft still intends to engage players with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
The duo of games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
