Miami recorded eighty-six opening half points against the Grizzlies
Miami Heat secured a decisive 146-114 win against the Memphis Grizzlies in their initial basketball match after guard Rozier was arrested over alleged unlawful sports betting.
Portland Trail Blazers head coach Billups was also arrested in connection with a sweeping FBI probe into sports betting. Both men deny the allegations.
However, the Miami team were focused as they put up 86 opening half points to be ahead of the Grizzlies by thirty-nine after two quarters, the largest half-time advantage in the franchise's 37 year existence.

The Trail Blazers additionally won their initial match since the arrests, with Brazilian Tiago Splitter taking over as interim coach in Chauncey's absence and leading the squad to a convincing 139-119 win over the Golden State Warriors.
"Everyone experienced positive times with Billups and how he coached," Tiago remarked. "We're thinking of him and his loved ones but we have a job to do."
League Commissioner Adam Silver 'Disturbed' over Recent Events
Addressing the arrests for the initial occasion, league head Silver stated he was "deeply disturbed" by the events of the past few days.
"There's nothing more important to the league and its fans than the fairness of the game," he told a broadcaster. "Therefore I felt uneasy. It was disturbing."
Silver also said an NBA investigation into the player's conduct in March 2023, when there was "aberrational betting" in a game he participated for the Hornets versus the Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.
"It was brought to our attention by the authorities and the betting companies," he continued.
"We investigated that situation and were open regarding it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, honestly, found no evidence.
"Federal authorities has legal authority... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can do all kinds of things that the league office can't do.
"So, we've been cooperating from that point. Naturally, what they revealed recently was an charge.
"And 30 months after, he has not been found guilty of any offense, in justice to Terry.
"Clearly, it appears unfavorable, but he's been put on administrative leave, and so it is a compromise in this case between protecting people's rights and investigating."
