Ariana Grande was in Singapore for the international debut of Wicked: For Good

Loyal followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who jumped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising bond between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, securing a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
